so i know that i wont be happy until im running a dual exhaust so i ordered the pieces today. Original 40 American thunder SI/DO muffler and magnaflow 18'' tips. Now the wait begins for it to get here from performance peddler. I love the tone of my 40 series now so i wanted to keep it.

 

Awesome man. Good call on the original 40, bummer they quit making them but its replacement ( the Super 44 ) is a damn good sounding one too.

thought the super 44 replaced the super 40

 

No, Super 40 is still in production. Flowmaster has discontinued the Original 40 series in 2007, and replaced it with the Super 44 in March '07 which had been in designing since 2005. Some Flowmaster original 40s are still out there because not alot of people want them, and theres plenty of knock offs of them.
