Which Magnaflow?

Hello all. I have a 2006 F150 SCREW 4x4 5.4L. Currently has true duals with Flowmaster mufflers. I am considering changing to a Magnaflow. Also considering adding an Air Force intake system. Should I use a single Magnaflow and if so which one? I am looking for increased performance and gas mileage. Sound is not a priority.

Thanks in advance for your reccomendations.

A 100% single system would be best for top performance. Being with dual Flowmasters I would imagine it speaks to you well, so you can handle some loudness, I would suggest the 11" body, or 14" body Magnaflow.

Thanks Darren. Is the 14 inch louder than stock if I use DI/DO?

Just about any aftermarket muffler will be louder than stock. The 14" DI/DO will for sure be louder.

That muffler will be perfect. You will barely hear it inside even till it breaks in more, It wont roar down the roads until you give it alot of gas. I believe that you will be happy with the 18" body

That's what I was going for!!!! Thanks for the feed back....

I figured it couldn't be to bad a choice being that's what Magnaflow uses on most of there exhaust systems...

Break in was another thing I took into account...
I was going to go with the 14 inch body but then I figured once it broke in it would end up louder then what I wanted... Just my taste though...

AirAid modular intake tube, K&N filter, Magnaflow Exhaust, Line-X'd bed and fender wells, 2.5 Inch AS Level Kit and 3 inch AS Rear Block, 1 Mile range Viper 5900 SST remote start and alarm system, JL Audio Stealthbox, JL Audio 500/1, JL Audio 300/4, Alpine Type-R 6.5 inch components in front doors, Alpine Type-R 5x7's in rear doors, Alpine Iva-w505, LOTS of Dynamat, 15% Tinted windows, Billet Grills in factory H-bar and lower bumper.

Yeah, you will be good. The fact that you have dynamat it will block out quite a bit of drone. F150s are the quietest in-cab trucks out there.

al150, I've got the DI/DO 14" magnaflow, it sounds great. It's quiet on the highway and get nice and loud when you stomp on it.
