Vic, What Magnaflows did you have on your car which you thought sounded stock?
And as of right now, I think I am leaning towards the Super 44!

I'm going against Darren (sorry man!) every MM owner loves Magnaflow, they don't sound good IMHO. I bought my car and there were Mag's on there and I couldn't stand them, they sounded stock to me. I switched out to Flow's and I was so happy. There is no "hey get out of my way" sound to them. They sound good, but not as good as Flows. Yes, a lot of people hate Flows because of their obnoxious drone's, but like you said, everyone is different. And to be honest, with my Super 44, I picked up MPG's and I my truck feels peppier down low compared to stock. I also barely have any resonance inside my cab.

For some reason, last night, I don't know if the server was slow or what, but I would submit it, and it would never load. I'd X out, try again and the same thing. So I guess the server was really laggy and they all went through, but I saw none of them until now lol.

For the stock MM setup's they are Magnaflow part # 14355 or 14356, esentially the same thing.

Correct. The smallest SI/DO you can get is the 14" body. My exhaust sounds like all stock cats with 2 chamber mufflers in the volume area, except my idle is quiet because it isn't chambered.

Hi-flow converters and a 14" body SI/DO with over 6,000 miles on the muffler will sound close to a stock cats SI/DO Flowmaster system.

Flowmaster does make a nice rumble, but it also sounds cheap and 'tin can' like at certain times. Here is a quick video of my old truck's exhaust with true dualed Super 44s, listen to the idle, and low rpm sound ( reverse mostly ) you will better understand what I mean by "Magnaflow sounds clearer, and Flowmaster sounds more tin can like" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvV8fosnK14

I'm not arguing with anyone, I agree with Vic, Flowmasters do sound pretty sweet though, but there are ways to make Magnaflows louder. Vic my truck is about just as loud as yours, just doesn't have the aggressive rev, which I sometimes wish I had!

Flowmaster is probably the best sounding muffler, but Im going for performance over sound so I went magnaflow.

OK, here's a question; I wonder if the people that say Flowmasters cost them power still had stock cats or aftermarket hi-flow cats? I know that a little backpressure creates bottom-end torque, I'm just wondering if the stock cats have ENOUGH backpressure to compensate for the Flowmasters...

Stock converters suck. The only good thing they can do is make you big bucks at the scrap yard. OEM mufflers are still more restricted than a Flowmaster, but its still the chambered design that will always restrict the flow, no matter what other modifications are done to the exhaust.
