SI/DO will perform better, true duals will sound a little better. True Duals wont be louder, but it will have a dual sound to it. Unless you have a CAI, and custom tune for true duals, I wouldn't suggest going that route, unless you do, or have plans for those modifications, otherwise your kissing your low end torque away. Bad enough your chosing Flowmaster mufflers but thats your choice, and its gonna sound good.

alot of people dont like flowmasters because they will rob you of your low end torque and they will hurt your fuel economy, thats why many people go with magnaflow, or a non chambered muffler, i myself love my true dual flowmasters and dont see myself changing them
but when i get my car, i will not put flowmasters on it borla stingers

Aluminized Steel construction, and chambered design.
A Flowmaster 2 chamber is better than an OEM muffler, especially with an F150 since our OEM exhaust systems are so restricted. But, its not designed for 100% performance which straight through mufflers are, better economy, and performance with straight through mufflers, and a deeper, richer, clearer note, with very little interior resonance. People have their preferences.

I'm going against Darren (sorry man!) every MM owner loves Magnaflow, they don't sound good IMHO. I bought my car and there were Mag's on there and I couldn't stand them, they sounded stock to me. I switched out to Flow's and I was so happy. There is no "hey get out of my way" sound to them. They sound good, but not as good as Flows. Yes, a lot of people hate Flows because of their obnoxious drone's, but like you said, everyone is different. And to be honest, with my Super 44, I picked up MPG's and I my truck feels peppier down low compared to stock. I also barely have any resonance inside my cab.
