AF1 Replacement Filter

well for some reason my filter on my AF1 has been rubbing on that little platform where the stock intake enters the fender. and it has rubbed a hole in my filter. is this normal for this intake or is something wrong with it?
i talked to Troyer Performance today and the best they could do was sell me a replacement filter with a small discount. but its still pretty expensive. does anyone know if any other filter will fit on the AF1?

BTW its a 1998 4.6L with the 3" intake

Not sure of the answer to your question about other filters, but I've had no rubbing problems with mine. Although this view isn't the best to show how close it is, it's not even close to rubbing. Are you sure you received the correct type for your truck?

How did it work out?

MMMMbuckles,

I know you were looking to purchase a replacement filter and were considering doing so through S&B???

I have the same AI and i am wanting to purchase a second filter, making changes easier.

Did you purchase through S&B. Was the part number correct? What is the quality like.

Thanks
