I'v searched and havent found what i'm looking for so here it goes. I have a 97 F-150 5.4 had true duals with all 4 cats and no mufflers. pipes kicked out behind the tires. sounded good and pretty loud. now the truck is lowered and the exhuast was rubbing and breaking hangers all the time so i had the exhaust dumped out before the axle with turn downs. still under the truck by the way. now it's not as loud as it was and i'm wanting to get some more noise. Headers are in the trucks future but just too pricey for my budget right now.

so i'm thinking about removing 2 of the 4 cats. i know some other members have removed the first 2 cats. can this be done without turing on the check engine light? or will i have to get o2 senor relocators or something? thanks in advance!
