You will get a CEL by removing your rear cats unless you make O2 sims or do the Gotts O2 mod to keep the light out.

I'm thinking about taking out the cats??? Good idea???
I have heard TONS of different advice from friends; most of which have NO CLUE what they are talkin about......
What are ALL of the effects??? (Good and Bad!)
Thanks guys,
Clint
in my sig is a video of what my setup sounds like: 2 hi flow cats that flow into an x-pipe and then into 2 super 44's with about 6" of pipe after the muffler before it is dumped

Rear cat removal with a CEL happening only qualifies for the 1997 - 2003 models. Not the 2004 - 2005. I didn't state that clearly, but I did now. I dont have my rear converters either.

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/gmo2s.htm

The first ones say they're for stangs but will they work on a F150? And the second say they will not work on 05 and newer, What changed if anything on the f-150's from 04 to 05?

Sorry to kinda highjack your thread I'm just curious aswell

here is the link`s to the ones I made for my truck and they do work, you can buy all the stuff at radioshack for about $10 and they`re easy to make.

and I want to see some pics of those 5" tips I`ve always wondered how they would look on a F150

some will, some won`t, luckily I found one that would but most of them will tell you they can take out the old cats and replace them but they cannot just cut out the old ones and put a pipe in, one shop told me that I could cut the cats out myself and he would put a pipe back in but that by law he could not cut out the cat, it also depends on where your at and the emission laws in that state, this is from my experience take it for what its worth and good luck
