I had one in my Silverado, easy install, looked OEM, sounded great, no noticeable performance difference unloaded, but i think it did better.

Any problem with water getting in them? Kind of scares me the way it faces the front of the truck.

I wouldn't think that they would provide enough HP/torque gains to be worth it. Look up S&B or K&N cold air intakes. Those will actually through some good numbers at you, not the price tag.

This is also the intake that they designed the SunCoast Ram Air Hood to work with.
