Your plotted system sounds like it will be a real good one

I love my Magnaflow 4x18 rolled tips.

your you tube videos made me want to do this set up, just not sure on the tips yet, either out the back, lightning style or 45s behind the rear tire

Sweet man, it is a great sounding setup, especially in person and even more since its nearly broke in. Either way you run your tips it'll sound awesome, happy tip hunting.

Here is what I did.

I have to agree, I like Darren's too!
One thing I'm finding out, my tips are always getting real dirty. I'd do the lightning style, but behind the rear tire....

each place has a flaw, i've had truck with tips in each location.. L style is loud in the cab(minor to me) My favorite look it the 45's behind the tires but the salt from the canadian winters beats the crap out of the tips, Out behind the bumper is the quietist and they can get smashed easy if you go through a big dip( happend on my 96, 100 tip down the drain) Haha so i'm just tryin to decide, it wont be till the spring anyway

There a expensive way to remedy those problems, mud guards, and a 6" suspension lift if you have some extra side cash

LOL...

Yeah, but I'm thinking a 6" lift would require Bigger tires, which means more crap being flung, so they still get dirty anyway....

I deleted the second cats, added high flow mains and put a Vortex SI/DO muffler on with two 3" tips exiting in front of the passenger rear tire.

Although I have the 4.6 in my Heritage it sounds real good with my CAI. I have inspired several other truck owners in the area to do the same and a good friend just installed almost the same set up on his '07 FX-4 (he went to two 2.5" tips covered by 3" SS covers...

I find the tips are protected better and I see many (and I mean many) tips coming out the back that are not even with each other which looks like crap..

Are you running just the high flows or are you running the first precats + the high flows? The high flows are supposed to replace BOTH cats on each side.
