wanna lose the cats

So ive decided I wanna cut the cats off and see if its any louder. I currently have a glasspack and its decently loud, but I wanted to see how much of a change id get without the cats.

Question is, if I cut both out do I have to get that bypass thing for the oxygen sensor? And if so, how hard is that to do?

And if I only cut one off, how much quieter would it be than cutting both off?

I just plan on getting a piece of pipe and putting it into the gap. Im saving up for true duals, but with my paychecks the way they are, it could take awhile, so im working with what I got for now

Thanks

it will be alot louder, probly 2 loud, if you cut the rear cats out you don;t have to touch the sensors, but if you cut out all 4 you need 02 simulators

with cats hi flow cats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nezTB...eature=channel

since you have a 95 theres no since in having cats on there unless your emissions county, and since your in SD your in emissions county so dont mess with the cats, best thing you can do is true dual 12" packs to be the loudest

By emissions county do you mean testing? Because the town I live in doesnt have emissions testing and could care a less what you had for exhaust. As long as your not gunnin it past the popo they dont care much. I have a 83' F150 exhaust leak and all, loud as hell, havent had problems.

oh my bad didn't realize you had a 95, in that case you should be able to cut out both cats and leave tho 02 sensor where it is( in the little cross pipe that connects the 2 exhaust banks, if that makes any sense..)

cutting my rear cat was probably the best thing i could have done for sound. it got alot louder outside. i still have 1 high flow right now, and gutted out the front cat. as for check engine light, mine flickers every now and then when i go up a certain hill. but i'm getting 23mpg so i dont think its messing with the A/F ratio.

heres a 302 without cats and a glasspack

heres one with true dual straight pipes

some of these trucks had 1 long cat that actually counted for 2 cats

Ive seen the white trucks vid b4. That is what I plan on doing when i get some more money, cuz that sounds sick

But for now ill probably just cut the cats and put a pipe in its place and see how well that sounds.

Thanks for all the help guys
