I have Flowmaster Super 44 series with dual cat back 3 inch tips. It sounds great. I'd go with 3.5 or 4 inch tips if you want it to be louder, but i love how mine sounds.

Loudest? True duals straight piped in 2.5".

Loudest mufflered? True dualed Dynomax Bullets/Flowmaster 10 series

Loudest mufflered single muffler with dual outlets? Flowmaster original 40, Flowmaster Super 44, Cherrybomb Extreme

For noise, glasspacks are popular. Flowmaster, Borla, MBRP, Heartthrob, Magnaflow, Cherry Bomb, Gibson, and Ford Racing all offer awesome products. I went with the Heartthrob system that has no muffler; just straight pipes, into a y pipe, exiting through glasspack resonators.

First, you need help spelling the word "exhaust". Ah, kidding, just bustin your *****, ya, Flowmaster is loud, but true duals with headers and hi-flow cats will be best.

Is it true that true straight duals hurts your engine performance and torque?

Only time it would probably is if you put dual 3" from the headers back, or something too small like 2". I actually think a dual 2.5" from headers would be ideal, some others here will atest to these speculations. My opinion is a bit more flow won't hurt, but won't help much either. Sound will be greater, especially with headers. I can't wait till I get some long tubes and maybe I'll do a true dual setup too.
