exhaust causing problems with cai?

exhaust causing problems with cai?

I've got a single in dual out cherry bomb extreme on my 99 f150 5.4, i'm thinking of upgrading on some performance parts is my exhaust gonna cause any problems like back pressure and what not if i ever wanted to ever upgrade to headers or cai?

sorry for the noob question :/ but thx for any help

That exhaust shoud help a CAI. For the CAI to work, it needs a less restrictive exhaust. More air in needs to be able to flow out. To get the most out of a CAI, you really need a tuner.

x2 with that Bluejay stated. More open exhaust with a more inducting intake and a custom tune to properly calibrate both together = a top notch performing set up.
