Having problems removing K&N 77 series filter

Having problems removing K&N 77 series filter

its time to reoil my filter and im having problems taking it out.. i loosened up the ring and everything but it wont budge? is there another step to it?

its cold out would that be a problem?

i have same intake. you loosen the big hose clamp holding the filter on, and filter comes right off. i dont think the cold would have to do with anything. try twisting it or something once you have clamp undone to see if its "stuck" to the the metal somehow.

Use a flathead and jimmy it loose.

that sucker was on tight, but got it off with a flat head THANKS!

on lip where filter attaches, before you reinstall it, aplly ver thin coat of vaseline,this wont happen again

^^x2 although when I took mine off and felt the lip, mine had a thin film of oil or something on it so it slides right off.
