Just got Maggie Hi Flows...

Just got some hi flow cats and the guy installing my exhaust ran out of o2 sensor things that you put inside the pipe, so he left a small leak that he did now weld shut so he would know where exactly to put it on monday...

My question is would that small leak right after the cat making a ringing noise like a bell when I am riding down the road?? It does not do this when stopped at a stop light or when idling, but it starts up when my rpms start to go up...It gets louder when i go faster...

My truck has never done this before and just started about 2 hours ago when I was on the way home from the exhaust shop....Also I dont have one of the o2 sensors in yet until monday when I bring it back in and the check engine light came on....

Would any of this make this sound?? and how can I fix it...Help please haha
ITS ANNOYING as anything

it is a bung for second set of o2's that say cats are working properly, if you can deal with the noise, wou aren't hurting anything

Hey bro, I cant say that I am a expert on this but I would think that the small hole in the exhaust on such a big motor with the amount of exhaust leaving that it wouldnt be silenced. Either way I dont believe it should hurt anything expecially since it happened after you left the shop. When he puts the o2 in there I would do your thing and if you hear it im sure he will make it right. O BTW I probley didnt help anything but my real goal was to see if when all this is done with, if you could make a clip of your trucks exhaust with the hi-flows. I have a maggy setup with a 18in magnaflow muffler then to duals that are 2.25 and theres not much going on in the sound department. I love that rumble and I dont get much but I do feel as if I have had more power gains with the maggy over others.

ya man it made it much louder, like ridicously loud.... I think it will be perfect for you if you kept your magnaflow... Mine is only really loud because i have those and true dual straight pipes ( no mufflers at all)

It will after the holes are fixed. Any hole will make a sound similar to ruin exhaust note.
