Backwards mufflers?

my buddy had a shop install an exhaust system on his truck a few months ago. well we hadn't been under it in a while. we were just under it the other day and noticed they were on backwards. what is this doing to his power gas mileage etc....?

Are y'all 100% sure it's on backwards?

I'd think you'd be able to tell pretty quick if the baffles were backwards. Maybe not.

yes if its chambered muffler it will decrease exhaust flow.

no if its flow through design, performance wise shouldnt matter, but might sound funny

take it back to them and make them fix it for free

the yes you need to fix it.

theres an inlet and outlet for a reason. take it back to them, but be sure its backwards r you will look like a complete idiot. But i trust you know what you are looking at

I had a friend who welded his super 44 backwards on his Lightning. When he turned it on it sounded a little funny, not as loud as he hoped. When he hit the throttle, it just shut down at 2000rpms, he figured it shut down due to the restriction because it's a chambered muffler.
