Question Ok guys I'm back..Now its hubbys bday he wants dual exhaust! Get me started please!!!

Hi guys,

You were all so great helping me get the hubby new wheels and tires for our anniversary, naturally I could think of no where else to turn for my dual exhaust quest! As usual I'm trying to be sneaking and surprise him so I cant get his input, thats where y'all come in!

I dont have a clue where to begin, I'd like to have a little knowledge before I start calling around locally. So any help getting me started would be great. The hubby has mentioned duals a few times, and from what I gather he wants them straight out the back???? and 4 inch black tips?????

I have absoluetly NO clue what dual exhausts entail other than there are 2 pipes and they sound kick *** LOL LOL LOL LOL.

Oh and refresher..... 2006 F150 Supercrew 5.4 V8 4X4 currently running 2.5 inch leveling kit with 33" procomp Xtreme AT on 18" AR Thugs.

Thanks in advance all!

Wish my G/F was like you!
Anyway My truck has true duals straight pipe angled out the back. It sounds great and get many complements b/c its a deep sound and not that nasty crackly sound that some have. Had mine done at a muffler shop here in town for 175 bucks and it looks and sounds great. But if he wants mufflers go with the 44s

x2 on the Magnaflow... can't beat the sound and performance.

I replaced my stock muffler with a straight-thru Maggie and it was a big time improvement in performance. So anything else you do (3" pipe or duals) would make it that much better.

EDIT: perhaps a CAI also...since you love him so much

that would also require a custom tune since he's got a 3 valve 5.4

I'd go true duals 2.5 inch pipes using an H pipe and flowmaser super 44's with 3.5 inch tips exiting in the location of his choice

it's any of the 3 valve engines including the 4.6 - I give you props for trying to help the dude out though

how did ur gas mileage get from that?

and is the sound loud enough that it gets attention from cops?

i think he would be happy with a flowmaster super 44. single in dual outlets (si/do). will give a nice aggressive tone

First off, do you mind if it's loud?:

I'm a flowmaster guy. So I'm with that

If you want it loud, go Flowmaster. Remember that Flows will be loud ALL THE TIME.

If you want more power, MPG, and better tone, go Magnaflow. These will only be loud when you want them to be loud.
