Dual Exit or Single Exit

I like the look of the duals but I've seen a lot where the two sides aren't exact. That's always been my complaint. It always seems like the driver's side pipe hangs a little lower and from the back it's pretty obvious. If you go duals stress it to your shop that you want them perfectly matched.

I have had duals, at 45* out behind the rear tires, on my others trucks but I wanted to do something different on my 04. So I went with a single 3" exiting in the stock location with a 4" dia polished SS tip. I would post pics of it, but I can't find them right now....
If you do duals go with a set-up like Dan and Darren have. I would so recommend going to a custom exhaust shop, so you can have everything done how you want.

Its kinda strange how shops vary region to region. Around here you would have a very hard time finding a shop that doesn't do all mandrel bends. But I have heard from others like you that they can't find any place that can do mandrels.

I thought about doing dual behind both rear tires, but as neat as it looks I figured too many Dodge and chevy owners have that, especially older Impala SS owners here in Vegas so I went with the Lightning route, dual just in front of the rear passenger tire. I dunno, dual tips just looks more aggressive. I personally got no increase in acceleration, but my Flowmaster 40 series sounds mean and the dual chrome tips look mean. If my truck can't be super quick then it can at least be intimidating
