The snorkel with the small opening is separated and removed from the large opening of the flex section.

Thanks for all the feedback that everyone has posted. I appreciate it. I'm glad RockPick decided to let me post this back up for everyone's benefit. Thanks Brad!

I have one of these that I made back in 2005. I used it in my 2004 F150 up until I sold it a couple years ago. If anyone here lives in Nashville and want to come by and get it, it's yours.

well when the motor breaths better it runs better just like people if thy smoke its like the stock intake and some one who didn't smoke is like the modded intake plus cold air is dincer and thus creates more volume and better combustion due to that and if my math is on its like 7 more cfm in to the motor stock is 1.75" and modded intake is 3" now i got a k&n drop in as well so when i dynoed mine it was and will be higher than a stock paper filter plus if you have duels exhaust this help expel the air easier thus breath better

This mod just removes the restriction at the snorkel end. When Bill Cohron tested it on the dyno he saw a gain of 7-8 RWHP in the upper RPMs(above 2000) over stock.

I finally got around to removing the snorkle a few minutes ago. Disconnected the battery. I need to run some errands later, will pick up the pieces at Lowes.

Went by Lowes and picked up the parts, Had to settle for sched 40 PVC, painted black. Once the paint dried, took about 10 minutes to put it together. Has to help, it's twice as big at the openning.

That's good. I'll have to come over and see what it looks like.

Well I picked up the needed parts today and will put this together tomorrow. Like Bluejay, I also had to settle for white. Nothing a can of spray paint can't fix.
Thanks kd4crs for getting this post back up. Gotta like those inexpensive mods.

Got all of my stuff today. I recommend going to lowe's because they had no clue what the rubber piece was and they didnt even have it. I went to lowe's and gave them the part number from page one and they gave me the missing part. I put everything together and even got rid of the ULGLY front and rear silencer boxes and plugged the holes. I will post pics up later!!!
