well, just got back from my test ride... did a couple WOT pulls... Seems to have picked up a SLIGHT amount in the top end. I did notice a slight increase in throttle response. this is with the VMP 93 tune.

I did seem to pick up a slight whistle as well. might have to figure out how to solve that..... its a tad bit on the annoying side.

Check for sharp edges and uneven edges and that there are no leaks. get a can of compressed air and lightly squirt around ALL the pieces put together and if you cut the extra crap off the main tube then check your hole plugs!!! also make sure it's fully connected at the filter box.

Uses a 2" test/knock out cap, a 1.5" test/knock out cap & a 1" plug. Also used about 1" of a 3" coupling at the fender on the 3" PVC because it looked cleaner than my shaping job. The PVC still protrudes about 2" into the fender.

I straight up swiped the test cap idea from AgentOrange over at PHP.

I saw the standard sch. 40 caps in blueovalboy's post #46 and I knew it could be cleaner. I was thinking regular plugs but then I saw AO's post and was sold.

Home Depot & Lowes both carry them in the plumbing section. They're PVC, I glued them with epoxy from the "adhesives" section although plain old silicone caulk would work as well. I just wanted the epoxy for other projects.

FYI the epoxy did say not for temps above 200F. I'm taking my chances.

The big front hole uses the 2" test cap. In my Homer the test caps (also called "knock outs") were on a shelf above all the sch 40 PVC fittings.

Don't be afraid to ask 'em where the stuff is, just don't try to explain what you're using it for.

Also, HD & Lowes are famous for having brain dead & lazy customers putting fittings back in the wrong bins.

Ok I had to do some mods to the truck today and took the pipe out and saw something... Wanted to know if anybody else was having this problem... At the end of the intake mod (the part that goes into the fender)and saw that the rubber lip was folding back on it's self... Pics to come later.

From page one....(last pic on page one)

3. One rubber downspout connector from the plumbing section of Lowe's or Home Depot. (Lowe's item number 23455.)

The top is folding over on one side. I will post pics tomorrow...
