Can you dump a SI/DO?

I bought my Flowmaster Super 44 SI/DO with the plan on running the pipes out the back. I got a handful of ridiculous quotes to do the work throughout the day today and now I am thinking of just dumping the exhaust before the read axle. I am not opposed to that look so it isn't a visual thing I am just curious if I can dump the SI/DO or do I have to exchange it to a SI/SO?

You can, wont sound as nice outside as it would with tailpipes though, but thats just my view.

got another handful of ridiculous quotes for duals out the back so I am definitely thinking I'm gonna dump it for now. It's been sitting in the house for a week now and it is killing me not being on the truck. I can always change it down the line. Might get better quotes from a shop up by my lake house. Find out when I open it this summer.

just don't put pipe on after the muffler or add 2 cheap clamp on elbows that way later on you can just have the pipes added if you want
