Thanks for the info Darren , what about the pre 97s? I had a 95 befor my 06 but cant remember ware the rear O2 was. Just curious, I know Ford ain't the best at keeping stuff simple.

What size maggie did you have? 14" 18"? Ive got true dual 14" and its plenty loudand i only have 3" tips, it would sound much better with 4". I had super 40 flows before that and they sounded good, but droned way more then my magnaflows..Hmm, i guess everyone is different.

It was the 18" muffler that came with the siso magnaflow cat-back. The truck has never been loud at all. Drone with the magnaflow was more just anoying sound then too much sound. There is no drone with the flowmaster.

high flow cat's and dump the exhaust behind the muffler.

I just cut mine off about 6" behind the muffler and it sounds a lot better.

I'm not positive but it may be the same sensor mounting setup ( front cat, rear O2, rear cat ) but they aren't in the Y pipe, theres only two cats and they're in the intermediate pipe.

The 18" will be quieter anyway. I would have had the 44's the first time, but i was in a hurry and the guy had the super 40s there. They sounded good. I think the next time i do it Im going to fork over the dough and go Roush offroad. Ive heard them in person and they sound mean. Its about the only exhaust ive heard on these trucks that make it sound mean.

Nothing major as its made out to be, just a nice clear sound, a mpg or two gain. No horsepower from just a cat-back.

Itl also make you think youve gained more power than you have due to the aggressive sound

Well its been three months since my super 44 install and the truck sounds great still. Although I have decided to finally purchase the roush off road kit for my truck.
I have a bit of sticker shock, but two things made me decide to go this route.
#1 roush's kit is completely t-304 stainless, the best you can get which I like alot better then the t-409 of the magnaflow cat-back.
#2 I like the flowmaster alot, but I actually have gotten to hear in person again finally a roush off road, and like stated above, the sound is sooo much better. The flowmaster sounds badazz but the roush sounds mean as hell on these trucks.
Plus my truck hasnt been stock since who knows when and I want to pick up any mpg I can, and I'm sure the flowmaster has not helped that with its design, at least thats what you all tell me, lol!!!
I have been impressed with the flowmaster, and for 60.00 from summit it couldn't be beat.
I have a question though.. what should I do with the magnaflow cat-back? sell it or keep it?? Anyone know how much it would be worth? its been on for like a year or so, and the kit looks good except the surface rust I complained about earlier in this thread on the piping that magnaflow is famous for. Anyone have a suggestion here??
I will also sell the supper 44 I think, but probably just to a bud, lol!!

Smart move on the Roush O/R. I'm sure you can sell the Maggie kit and the 44 locally. Someone is always looking for those.

Your truck shifts smoother because of a new muffler?
