True duals, remember 2.25 piping to keep low end power. I would run mufflers for better sound, but I'm not sure if they will effect your set-up improvemtn wise. Someone will know

If your worried about back pressure, have 2 high-flow cats instead of no cats at all.

the duals are already 2.5, and haven't noticed any bottom end power loss when i was running 2 stock cats.

thinking about running dynomax....sounds like there deep & throaty and could have a nice rap in higher rpms.

is the loudmouths a straight through design also???

The loudmouths are straight throw but they're pretty expensive.

it shouldnt run 'good' with no cats and no tune thats for sure. you also need a cross over pipe like an X or H to keep low end power. dont over look this

Glasspacks are trashy sounding, Dynomax Bullets, or SLP Loudmouths would be a much better choice. Heres a truck with shorty headers, no cats, and LM mufflers.

If you use hi-flow cats, have a cross-over, and keep the pipe size down to 2.25, it will perform decently. When ever you get the custom tunes, it will run great.

Man I just watched those videos, I could never deal with all that rasp. I like the stock cats/ hi flows with maggies/Roush set-ups. That would drive me crazy.

ya that truck is loud, doesn't sound a whole lot different from a glasspack.

so the best bet for now is i should slap on a h or x pipe to help me out performance wise?

The x pipe will be for performance, it balances the set-up and helps with low end scavaging while the h pipe is more for sound. The difference you might be able to tell, maybe not. A lot of guys use the h pipe for trying to get the "famous mustang" sound. Persoanlly, if it were me, I'd get the x.
