I want to raise them up a bit and tuck them in flush with the bumper...see below. I'm also thinking of painting black them with the high-temp grill paint.

i personally hate redoing an exhaust that i already did, but that because when i do an exhaust for someone i ask them if it looks good before i finish the welds so its their fault it looks bad....

I'd personally have then turned 45'd, would look much better, especially if your keeping those splash guards on. It kind of would be a useless thing to have a shop bent your tailpipes up only minorly, so I would have it town to the sides, much better looking. Although, it looks like your tips are only 12" long, so that might look a little funny, change them to 4x18" and they would look fantastic ( and sound a little better ).

EDIT

Oh I forgot to add earlier, if your bumpers aren't black, then the tips should not be black, keep the shiny stainless.

I agree with Darren... That would look and sound even better Plus it would bring the chrome from your ATX's to the rear of the truck which would balance it out nicely.

As much as Darren likes to push the 45 degree thing, I'd go with the bigger tips like he said, and keep em' straight out like you have them. No need for another bend in the exhaust path IMO.

I for one like the "shotgun" style......and it's comming back! have a look at other MFG's trucks and high end cars.

I think the reason you want to do something to the tips is because the are too small. Once you add bigger tips, I think you're going to like the look it will do for the truck, not to mention bringing them a bit closer to the bumper like you want.
