check it out. single borla xr-1 muffler will get the best performance with 3" piping from the Y back exiting to watever tip you want. dual xr-1s will be twice as expensive, and ull need an X pipe to help the scavenging and pressure. it will be a bit louder, and some better performance than a single. if your going to go dual xr-1s, ull need 2.5 inch piping all the way through.

Thanks migdaddy. I just checked out your vid too, I think I like the sound of that bullet better than the xr-1 to be honest.

oh without a doubt. dual bullets shipped from summit racing will be 80 bucks roughly. then add in the price of the X pipe, and tips, and labor charge. u should be set. ur system will sound so damn mean. how are you gonna exit the tips?

Not sure about the tips yet, I wanna do in front of the tire on both passenger and driver's side. Probably Flowmaster tips. Hey, whats wrong with going straight from each cat into their own seperate muffler and going straight back from there, why do I have to use the X-pipes?

ok well u wont be able to go both sides before the rear tire because of the big thing called gas tank. u just need 1 X pipe and install it right after the Y pipe. it helps with exhaust gas timing and extraction. This will help keep the exhaust pressure and pulses equalized and timed which helps the flow of exhaust and improving scavenging which clears the cylinder more efficiently of exhaust gases and helps with more complete combustion and flow.\

theres your definition. u need an X pipe if u have 2 mufflers. plain and simple.

It replaces the Y right...The two cats feed into the X pipe which feeds into the two mufflers?

2.5" true duals will suffer on low end power nomatter what. 2.25" is the best size to go for performance for true duals, but just does not sound as sweet as 2.5".The Borlas are a fine muffler, but very expensive, although you get what you pay for, lifetime warranty and t-304 stainless steel, but the performance would be exactly the same ( and maybe sound a little bit better ) with the Dynomax Bullet muffler, migdaddy's video is of superb quality to show the excellent sound of it, and his enthusiasm and thrill of it is very encouraging to others, i've decided to go with the Bullets when I do my switch
