Theres hardly any sound change, except 2.25" is a tiny hint louder, and raspier on the decel of a high rpm rev. 2.5" sounds just a little more hollow.

ok since they are talking about Xr-1 and the bullets, how are they compared sound wise to what you have with the set-up you have. will they be alot more louder and deeper? something like a straight pipe sound without the drone?

The 12" XR-1 and 12" Bullet will be louder than my 11" Magnaflows. The XR-1 has small baffles embedded inside ( still a straight through design but the baffles give a louder sound ) and the XR-1s interior is ceramic, vs the packed internal case of Magnaflow ( which keeps them quiet ), and the Bullet is just freaking small as all hell like a 3.5" round body, straight through not packed, I believe its ceramic.

Positives of the XR-1? t-304 stanless steel, ceramic interior, straight through
Negatives, the $120 - $160 price tag per muffler.

Positives of the Bullet? straight through design, very deep heavy tone, screaming WOT, $40 per muffler
Negatives, 16 gauge aluminized steel, no warranty

what about the magnaflow race mufflers. are they equally comparable to the xr-1 and bullets. as far as sound and performance.

ive never heard the maggie race mufflers on a F150, but if your into trying new things, go for it and give us the feedback along with the video. if you really want a deep, throaty, loud exhaust for a reasonable price, go with the bullet(s). u will not regret it!

is there any difference between oval and round mufflers? do they sound different? i assume they would perform the same right? like if i do a true dual setup with the x pipe which is better round or oval muffler, or does it not even matter.

The sround body Magnaflows are really similar to the Bullets, still quieter than the Bullets but they are quite louder than the oval versions. My 11" ovals are about the same as a 14" round but with less rasp.
