Hey Guys
Just my two cents I had a 3" flowmaster cat back with mandrel bent tail pipe K&N fipk kit. Tthe truck did gain good low end throtle response but when it got close the peak rpm I would fall off alittle bit. Also getting on the freeway if you are not in the sweet spot for the RPM it wont kick down for passing gear. So I did some research and I have found that if you are not looking for wide open performance. Another words daily driving & you possable tow boat or trailer. Eventhough the tech guys tell you to go 3" if you put 3" pipe from the cat to the inlet and continue after the muffler to the tail pipe in three inch and oversixe the 2.5 muffler inlet and outlet so that it fits the 3" tubing I belive the the 2.5 muffler creates back presure on the motor and it seems to be as responsive as the three inch but has no power loss all the way through the power band and does not fall off at top rpm. Maybe it is just my truck and I live in Califorina. I am telling you it is a world of difference. More to follow on the gas mileage when I had the intake and the 3" flow desaster. I lost three miles to the gallon and I am not a heavy footed driver
