I have the 22" Magnaflow. Real nice deep rumble on start up, not too loud, no drone, and just a hint of exhaust sound on the highway. In fact, now I can't hear it over my tires when going down the highway. I am putting on some high flow cats to open it up a little more and get a little more sound out of it. Here is a vid I put together, keep in mind though, mine is supercharged so it will change the exhaust note.

I have two 14'' magnaflows, and it is barely noticeable at highway speeds (my tires are louder). I would recommend the 14'' - just my .02

Here are a couple of sound bites from the 22 " I had installed
The 1st vid when just installed
and the 2nd a little later it does get a bit louder after use.
Good luck in your hunting

I just got the 14" maggie on my truck this week and i absolutely love the sound. I take the Highway to work and you can barely hear it at cruising speed and idle. The only time it sounds loud is if you put your foot into it. I almost got the 18" but I am very glad all these guys talked me into the 14" body. My g/f didn't want me to get exhaust and now she loves the sound of my truck. Sounds beefy on acceleration but quite at cruisin speeds! Good luck man

Went to my muffler shop and the guy recommended me the Flowmaster Delta 50 hands down over the magnaflow. He said I'll have better power and backpressure. Is this true???

Not sure about the specs on power and backpressure, but "hands down" is a little extreme considering all the happy magnaflow guys i've seen on this site....me included.

Just had the 18" si/so maggie installed last week, and it was louder than I thought it was going to be. But I also had them weld 3 inch tubing throughout.

I know I think its a little extreme as well. He almost was trying to make me feel as if I go Magnaflow I am doing the wrong muffler. Have you noticed any difference in feel when taking off? Any backpressure loss? Also, how loud is the 18 when cruising do you get any droning? I was going to either do that or the next one bigger.

dont get the 18 inch. if youre gonna spend the money you might as well get somethin that is alot noticeably different than stock. its not like a 14 inch magnaflow is gonna make your truck sound like a monster. its just an after market muffler.

True but I don't want it too loud because I clean pools and don't want the customer to hear how long I am in the backyard for hearing my beast fire up everytime.

I don't have any other mods, so I can't tell a big difference when taking off. Maybe just a little more pep going between stop signs, but that could be in my head.

As for the backpressure, 3 inch is fine for a si/so. I think going larger than that is when you will lose back pressure.

When cruising on the highway there isn't any drone, can't even really hear it at all. Pretty close to the stock muffler on the highway and at idle. I'm happy with the loudness of this one on acceleration, probably would've been disappointed with a 22".

Hmm this helps my choice a lot. Wish someone lived near San Diego with a Maggi that I could hear in person lol.

hey slimcubby, i vote that you get the magnaflow 14" muffler. after truckguy's advice, i just had the 14" maggie installed. holy ****, it sounds so good. nice and deep rumble at startup. quiet at cruising speeds but loud when you stomp on it. this is the best muffler i have ever had. i have had a flowmaster 50 series and i had the 18" maggie. both are far to quiet for my taste. im not for obnoxious loud sounding mufflers but i wanted a nice deep rumble that didn't drone in the cab. thats what the 14" maggie gives you.

I think you would be ok with the 14" as stated. The more I think about it, it would not be too loud.
