97 4.6 intake

will the non pi 4.6l vin w intake work with pi heads? i am planning on a picking up a 2000 4.6 long block from ford so i can pickup any year that would work in my 97 f150 just need to get it back on its feet soon.

what about dropping in 5.4 s/c setup from a lightning or 4.6 setup from mustang?
trying to make some options

so much great info on this site! thanks!

why not get the 2004 or newer 4.6 2 valve truck intake??? it will peerform better

NO you cannot bolt a 5.4 intake to a 4.6 and the mustang cobra that are factory supercharged are 4 valve motors you have a 2 valve so no that also is a strike out

unless you get a 2 valve 4.6 supercharger system like the Allen, SVO or a roush setup and teh mustang kists are going to be some work that I'm pretty sure you're not up for at your level at this time but it's a fairly straight forward install if you ever feel you are ready to do it and several of us can help you out since it wil physicly bolt onto the PI heads

I fully appreciate the sharing of your knowledge!

like i said if you up for it then the newer more improved motor is the way to go for the same amount of work
