All right now i was wrong there is such a thing as too loud...

Does anyone have an exhaust that goes from 2.5" downpipes with 1 hi flow cat on each to a 3" y pipe then a 3" straight pipe side exit in front of the rear wheel?? I just had this done and it is UNGODLY loud inside the cab. I am looking to find a good sounding muffler that keeps it pretty loud but also rounds out the tone a little bit. I am thinking possibly a flowmaster super 40 or a super 44. Any suggestions??

If you want a calmer sound you definitely do not want a Flowmaster muffler, it will be the same inside. Look into a Magnaflow or Borla muffler.

Depends on peoples tolerances. I'm 21 and I hate overly loud/raspy exhausts,v and heavy drone.

The setup the OP described sounds aggravating and annoying. Nothing trashier than having a nice truck that sounds like a dump truck riding down the road.

I am 20 and think there such thing as "too loud". I have the roush off road kit and love it but my friends have cut outs and all this other mess and you cant even hear yourself think while you are in the truck much less it sounds like a piece coming down the road.

As said above magnaflow is where it's at. I have it lightning style and I love it. Deep and throaty just enough sound. Awesome

Oh i knew it would be loud, and I love how it sounds but for an everyday driver it is a little too loud for me, i kinda want to keep my spotless record that way.

HAHA old only if you count 18 as old lol!! dont get me wrong i Love how it sounds but as my daily driver i just want it to be a LITTLE more rounded and less resonant inside i dont want by any standard to be quiet...Wheres the fun in that?? i went and got a dynomax muffler and still need to put it in n see how it sounds. Ill take pics of the setup cuz im gunna use flanges to put it in n make a test pipe so i can go back to straight if i'm feeling a little more obnoxious

dynomax bullet? that will sound a hell of a lot better than ur straight pipe. itll be deep, and actually have a tone.
