Depends on what you mean by direct fit. The factory cats are welded in, so there isnt' anything you could just "unbolt" and put a new one in if that's what you are asking.

Magnaflow makes many universal ones, but because the stock cats are welded in, there isn't anything that just fits. They will all require a shop or welder to get the old ones out and new ones in.

X2

94106 is the part number I believe and they are going to have to be welded in, no way around that.

Actually yes you can. Their direct fit kits un-bolt it at the clamp in the Y pipe and before the manifolds.

Buy the parts from performancepeddler.com and do a part number search on 94006. That's the one you need and it will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much cheaper than what a shop will charge.

You could have put the magnaflow's in for atleast $1,100 cheaper. Seems like it would be the dealerships problem for not checking into what was being installed.

I have a 2005 f150 5.4 how can ya tell if the cats are stopped up without having to cut them off and see? reason im asking is what would some of yall do cut them off and have a tune cut the o2 sensors off where it doesnt turn the check engine light on or put magnaflow hf cats on it? im trying to figure this out bacause i know how i want my exhaust but i need some input and i will have mufflers so there will be some back pressure on the system.

If you experiencing an economy drop, or quieter exhaust note, and a possible burnt exhaust smell, you'll have a plugged/burnt cat.

I would run Magnaflow cats before running cat-less, legal so you prevent the fine, and better sounding with a massive volume increase.

Cool

Thanks i was wondering i don't mind buying the high flows but i know how the older trucks sounded with no cats but reason i asked about them maybe being stopped up is because sometimes the truck with take off like a shot rabbit and other times is like a damn dead turtle, it will get up to 4000 rpms and like hold and barely gain, any ideas?

i have a 2006 f150 w a clogged cat. It is the direct fit from factory however i took it to a shop and they said all they could get for it was the 2 cat system for either side. where can i find the single cat like mine w the ability to still have my 02 sensor. i found direct fit cats but none of them have the 02 sensor stud
