custom COLD AIR INTAKE.

so im going to mix and match some parts, and throw together a custom CAI, a real CAI, using the stock air box thingy and crap from my current "CAI", so i got to cut that up, and i have to cut off part of the tubing to make it a 90 degree bend, unfortunately the hole for the air intake temp senor, is getting cut off, so where is the best place to drill the new hole for the intake temp sensor, i figure down stream of the maf, but any info will help, thank you in advance.

I too would like to hear some opinons on this matter. I wanted to make a custom intake as well, but opted to buy the Airaid. It just seems way overpriced for a small section of tube with a cone filter on it, and maybe a little half box around the end. Definitely doesn't seem worth $289.
