Exhast tomorrow

My truck is going in tomorrow to figure out what to do with an exhaust system. I've done research and asked questions and found out that the Magnaflow 12198 (14 inch SI/DO) is a good muffler. I'm just not sure if I want dual tips out. What is the part number for the same muffler that's SI/SO? I'm planning on doing 3 inch piping from the Y pipe back, and a 4 inch tip either 12 or 18 inches long. What do you all think?

I did some more research and found the Magnaflow 12219, 14 inch SISO 3 inch in/out. Anyone run this muffler? I'm keeping my stock cats, and I don't want this thing to be too loud so long drives will be uncomfortable. I also want to keep my low end torque!

only difference with the 14 SISO is the outlet and pipe size. SISO ull run 3" from the Y and 3" from the outlet to your tip. SIDO youll run 3" from Y and 2.5" out to the tip. all about wat u want.

i decided on the 3 inch SISO in a 14 inch body (12219) with the 4 inch by 12 inch long stainless tip (35116). do i need a new Y pipe too? or can the new 3 inch pipe bolt up to the stock Y pipe? i'm not sure how that is going to work.

That will work fine. The shop will cut the outlet on the Y pipe to 3" and fit the 3" intermediate pipe to it.

Well I'm ready to order my parts. I'm in Canada and I'm looking for the best place/price to order from. I don't want to have to pay huge shipping costs and duty if I order from the USA. Any places give us members a discount?

Well no discounts per-say for us, but Performance Peddler offers the best prices with everything, and some make offer payments on certain parts.

I called performance peddlers and those guys sound good, best prices too. The muffler and tip comes to 107.11 USD (using the clubgp code) and shipping is another 28 dollars. Then there's tax (13%) and 29 dollars border fees plus another 5.85 government fee, plus potentially more duty if the product is made outside of North America. It's so ridiculous, I hate it.

Looks like HOTTEXHAUST.COM is my best bet. Shipped from within Canada and expected to be here in a day or two. Anyone have a discount code or coupon for hottexhaust.com? Thanks!
