Cheap exhaust option. Would this work?
After putting aside the money for my lift, tires, and wheels, I am running low on cash but want my truck to actually sound like a truck once the lift is done. I am looking at the Dynomax Bullet and was wondering how a 2.5" Bullet would sound with stock pipes. I was planning on just getting the muffler and having a shop switch them out for me and keeping everything else how it is. Atleast for now. Would that work?

yes it will sound good. i have a 3" bullet, 3" from the Y back. ur basically just doing a hack and weld. also, spend the extra 50 bucks and get a decent 3.5 or 4" tip to replace with the ugly stock pipe. You can still exit it in the stock location to save money

If you do the work yourself you will also need to have a little bent pipe made to mate up to the curve of the OEM muffler offsets and make up for the difference of the stock muffler and the Bullet's length, which if you get a 12" Bullet it will be about 20"s because your OEM muffler is 32 massive inches long.
