Air Filer

Now this just cracked me up. I went to the local Ford dealer part store to buy a filter for a 2008 f150 flex fuel screw and was quoted 40 bucks. This wasn't a after market or cabin filter, just the straight paper air filter. Is there something special motor craft air filters???

nothing special about the filter, just the dealer making a profit off a $5 part...

check with Napa, and sucks (shucks) auto parts.

I had bought a K&N drop in @ Walmart about 4years ago for $30...

I currently have a S&B CAI, it really woke up the Motor...it was worth the $260 Price...

good luck.

The only thing special is it says Ford, and you got it from the local Ford dealership so obtaining a good shafting was bound to happen, LOL !!

a $20 Wix air filter is the exact same thing just all white, should have gone with that.

i bought a k&n drop in filter and i guess the oil from the packaging and completion of the product dirtied my MAF...now my truck shakes, still under warranty and all, so now either put up with having to do the MAF cleaning procedure and oiling and washing the darnthing or just go paperback with a $40 filter from the dealer...since she still got warranty ill use the motor craft stuff till the warranty is out....its ridicoulous how they look for ways to screw u over
