No Cats Question
I have a 1998 F150 with the 5.4L and I was thinkin bout cuttin out my cats. I have a exhaust cutout after the cats and i wanted to see if anyone could tell me if it is gonna sound like **** or if it will sound decent. Also i can cap off the cutout and behind that i have a single inlet dual outlet flowmaster super 44 muffler if that may sound better than the cutout open. if anybody has some input on this let me know. thanks

Would replacing your stock cats with high flow ones interfere with emissions? What would be the benefits (or eveb lack of) with doing a swap? I've never 'heard' the difference for myself, but if I can get my Flowmaster 40 to sound even meaner without any loss in power or interference to emissions, then it will have to be my next mod!

Personally I'd never operate a vehicle that could get me a ticket. I'm broke and don't want to try affording tickets. But I also want my truck to pass smog for registration, lol. If high flow cats will work then I will give them a shot but I'll never go no cats. I kinda like oxygen. It smells good.
