Dual Flowmasters (40 series or 10 series)

Hey guys, I have a 2005 5.4 V8 and I'm having true dual exhaust put on around Christmas, I just need to decided on a muffler.

I know the 40 series is aggressive and loud but I just watched videos of the 10 series and it is much deeper and mean sounding. I know that the 10 series is a racing muffler but will it cause problems with inspections? I have the stocks cats.

I want a loud, mean sounding truck and interior sound could sway my opinion based on exterior sound.....any help?

Which one will be better for my application?

Thanks

The 10 series will pass any inspection. But I'd say go for the 2 chambers over the singles, in person the 10s dont sound as good as the 40s, but the 10s will make more noise.

I'll second that... On the same vehicle, the 10's are not as deep as the 40's and don't sound as good IMO. The only thing 10's have on 40's is that they are louder.

yeah if you were wanting 10's you might as well have just went with straight pipes and saved yourself a buck 50. IMO they sound just like a straight pipe.

x2, for the price of the 10 Series and the tone they give, straights would be just as good sounding, and will make a persons heart hurt from a rev since its straight through.
