I wouldnt say a tight budget I just dont want to spend an arm and a leg for sound.
What is the difference in the lengths and what is stock pipe diameter on these trucks 2 1/4? or 2 1/2

stock pipe is 2.5" and if you want duals later i would go with 2.5" through out then as well. it will sound alot better than 2.25.

overall length is the entire length of the muffler, longer the muffler=quieter the sound. shorter muffler=louder.

f150fella08 I think im going with the bullet you suggested its the shortest with 2 1/2. Thanks so much. What size tip? Does shorter tip mean louder? What about the diameter is it like that to? and I think if I get another tip I am gonna do slash cut I like the look of that.

actaully the longer/bigger the tip the more it echos out, kinda like a megaphone or what ever that things called.

is your truck 4x4 or 2wd? what you could do is run a Y pipe after the bullet and run dual tips out. i would go with a 3.5 or 4 inch tip. unless its 4x4 then you could get away with a little bit bigger, note i said a LITTLE bit bigger not freakin 8" tips

Its 4x4 thats the only way to do it for me haha! no offense to the 2wd owners or trucks but I prefer my 4x4. I think I have a 3 or 3.5 inch on there now and would either keep that or upgrade to 4. Would there be much of a sound difference in the y pipe and just 1 pipe? If not then later on I might do the h pipe and 2 bullets

well with a y pipe you could run 2 tips. and it would look a LOT better IMO. and it would sound a little better too.

if i were you thats what i would do. actually i would get one of those 18" dual outlet glasspacks EVERY shop has and get them to run 2 pipes off of that, or Y a bullet.

the bullet would sound better, either way they would wind up costing about the same.

Great sounding cheap exhaust set up...
Original 40 Flowmaster SI/DO with turn downs. The shop I go to would probably charge around $30 in labor and turn downs, providing you bring the muffler.

I have a 5.4L 2001 Screw and looking for the same sound without spending a bunch of $$. Which Bullet are you talking about..the race Bullet? And which size (diameter) for a stock 01 5.4L?
