yea you can have them gutted, but its hard to find shops that will, and if you do they will charge about the same as getting hi flow converters, my guy charged me 50 bucks a piece to gut mine...the hi flows i bought were 65.10 a piece.

and theres not THAT much of a sound difference between exits when over the axle and out the back of the truck

do you think LT Headers would make up for that

Yeah it will move when floored, but those tires were a little on the bald side too so.. 3.7s and a limited slip rear can be fun though.

hmm, reading this post has me wondering. I wanted to put 3 inch true duals on my 06 SD with a 5.4l. I realize this post is about a 4.6, but im going to assume i need to go with a smaller pipe. Im definitly going with SS, Magnaflow hi flow cats and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. It will exit in from of my rear tires at a 45 degree angle.

Im lookin at headers, but im not sure if i should use short equals, short unequals or long tube?
