Yes certain companies make black exhaust tips, MBRP, RBP, etc.

Im not sure about dual-exhaust slash cut style tips.

Im not sure what you mean by mummy-wrapping exhaust, but i wouldnt do on your f150...

damn, I just measured my tailpipe and its 2.5 inches which would mean I'd need the adapter, maybe I should just wait until I redo the stock exhaust to dual.

I agree , I think you should do some bigger mods before the exhaust tip....wheels/tires, suspension, etc.

I am actually waiting on my RBP tip like the one above, (with silver instead of red), and yes you need the adapter. I would recommend when you do the exhaust to get a 3" IN/3" out muffler, so the piping after the muffler is 3". So the transition from 2.5" to 5" isnt so dramatic ya know

x3. Powdercoating SS tips is your best bet. Those RBP tips are expensive.

Actually yes, if he is wanting to do dual exhaust, id say definitely do SS tips powdercoated (Dual RBP tips is too much), but for single exit i dont think the usual slash exhaust tips look right IMO....

and also, the chrome RBP tips are only like 60 or 70 on autoanything.com, my black one was only about 120....after you pay for new SS tips, plus paying to have them powdercoated, wouldnt they be close to 120?

I had mine painted gloss black by a body shop...they used high temp paint. I initially went to a powdercoater but they told me that painting them would be the better method. They've held up pretty well over 5000 miles so far.

I was going off what he said about waiting until he got duals. Even going single tip, though, it would be much cheaper than buying RBP. I got my tips for $40 a piece and I'm sure you could even get cheaper than that. My local powdercoater quoted me $30 per tip, so it would have been $70 each to get mine powdercoated....not even close to $120.

I made my own, painted stainless tips with header paint and welded a corsa tip into them:
