04 "true" dual exhaust

04 "true" dual exhaust

allright guys heres my ? ive been hounding my rents for the past 3 years to let me get dual exhaust on my trucks, now i think i may have them talked into it for this christmas. the deal is my dad will let me do it only if i have a true dual setup, which is W/O a y pipe in the set up, u know run one pipe off the driver side and another seperate one off the passenger side.

have you guys ever had this done?

Nope... this set-up is very uncommon

over half of the posters in this section have true duals.

make sure you use some kind of crossover pipe, either an H-pipe or an X-pipe


and keep your pipe size to 2.5 inch until you get to the tips

Why would anyone want true duals? They sound horrible!

This is true in some applications though.

No, I will say you make too many posts

That wasn't a remark to you either man, its just certain vehicles with certain setups doesn't sound good true dualed. For example, Dynomax Bullets true dualed dont sound too 'great' on push-rod engines ( Chevys ), true dualed glasspacks doesn't sound great on most vehicles, a hell of alot more 'rattle rasp' sound when true dualed, Anything with 6cyls or less should be illegal to have true duals because its a waste of money for the engine sound you get, and all true duals with OEM cats are just restricted from all of the performance and sound potential they could have.

i have true duals as well, why will he let you get exhaust ONLY if it is true duals? thats more money for him to spend???
