well...what i ment was converters..the mufflers have NOTHING to do with the emissions on a vehicle

When I bought my chevy silverado it had a thrush muffler y-ed into duals and I was impressed with the sound it produced. If you want a chambered muffler I would recommend them over the flowmaster. It had the nice chambered sound flowmaster promotes at a fraction of the price. It was installed on the truck for over 2 years without any sign's of rust.

I figured they sound about like a flow, but have never heard them in person.

Here's a sound clip I made of that thrush on my silverado. It has 2.25" piping with 4"x18" tip's. Also the motor in this truck is the TBI 350 with stock manifolds,no convertors and 222,000 miles on the odometer.

no way, nothing sounds good a a 350! i think those are the worst sounding v8's ever

The TBI 350's are hard to get a decent exhaust tone out of but it's possible. Straights sound like pure azz on them also. The vortech 350's aren't as bad but still not as good as a vortech 4.8,5.3 and 6.0 in my opinion. I still like the 350's. They produce good stock power,cheap to mod and are tough as nails and replacement part's can be found almost anywhere.

True True! Don't worry I kept chasing a steering problem around and finally sold it.

Yea i've heard about that one. This truck had a weird problem. You could be driving down the road with the steering wheel pointed straight and it would suddenly turn to the left. I don't know what the heck was wrong. Also you could be driving and come to a curve and it wouldn't turn, the steering wheel would turn but the tire's wouldn't! I replaced the tie rod's,ball joints, steering box,idler arm,pitman arm,rag joint,steering wheel,steering shaft,wheel bearings and never did fix the problem. I finally had to give up. Everything else worked perfect but I couldn't trust that death mobile.
