Dynatech LT's Throwing Codes

Since I bought the truck, Ive had the P0430 and the P0137 constantly on. Ive erased it, but it will show up within the next couple of days. When I looked under the truck I realized that the front O2 sensors are in the rear and rear in the front. Is this normal for a new truck with headers? I read through the how-to that installed these on an earlier model and noticed that he had to modify the O2 sensors to get them to work with the O2 wire extensions. Does anyone know if this applies to an 04-08? Thanks in advance.

Also, I forgot to mention that I have 2 high flow cats.

Yes, the front sensors need mounted in the collectors, the rear ones need mounted after cats, or in the cats depending if they are O2 mounted.

Where can these extensions be obtained? I remember finding them somewhere before but haven't had any luck recently. Also, the front sensors need to be at the collectors and the rear ones need to be at or before the cats correct?

The front 02's need to be as close to the collectors as possible. I have mine installed in right after my collector.

The rear 02 needs to be after the cat... Now if you have them "turned off" it doesn't really matter.

Any mustang aftermarket parts place should have the extensions. Or you can go the cheap route and just extend the wires on your 02's. That's what I ended up doing.

Do all 4 need to be extended or just the front 2? What size wire did you use to extend yours?

On my setup all 4 needed to be extended. I'm sure it's the same for all long tube installs.

I don't remember the gauge off the top of my head. I just have lots of wire spools stocked up and found a matching size.

I imagine if the back two are turned off, it really doesn't matter. I just extended mine to "look" like they are working for visual inspection.

How far back are your rears mounted? My cats are going to be a couple inches off the collectors. Which brings up another question. Should I go with a metal core or a ceramic one? Sorry for hijacking your thread op

My rears are mounted right after where the cats would be... I'm running resonators(basically glass packs). It really doesn't matter because in my tune my rear 02's are turned off anyway.

Metal core or ceramic what?

My y-pipe is 3" and I'd bet your cats are either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2" right? I'm going with 3" cats for ease of installation and then after the y going down to 2 1/2". Thanks though
