Yea that is what I had on my old set up with the Roush off road exhaust. I loved it but wanted to do something different. Maybe after some high flows and a tip I will like the sound.

Doesn't sound to much different then my Magnapack IMO. Looks like I'll notch these mufflers out in my pursuit for a louder system.

Being dumped is your problem, no lengthy exhaust to make a metallic like note, and no tip to megaphone the sound off into the distant surroundings, and if it is brand spanking new, it will need a couple thousand to break in at least.

I figured it needed some time to get broken in. And I think im gonna have the piping extended past my axle and dump it hiding a tip under the bed of my truck. I'm still gonna get some high flows to give it the extra rumble!

A truck sounds so much better/cleaner with an exhaust exiting out the side/rear of a truck with a big tip...

1. muffler will break in some

2. 2 highflows will make your truck a lot louder, especially if your '05 has the 4 cat system

Right now that "coffee can" is pretty quiet.

Definitely put some pipe and a tip on it. I ran my Magnaflow 14" body dumped for a while and didn't like the sound. Once you put some pipe and a tip on it sounds much better. Add some high-flows and it'll really open up!
