Longtubes On!

Just finished my exhaust on my 00 H.D., put on pacesetter long tubes, magnaflow hi flow converters, 4 new o2 sensors, 2.5" true duals to magnaflow DI/DO w/ x-pipe built into it, out to rear corners of truck. Sounds awesome and the torque increase is awesome. Just need a program now to tie in the rest of the mods I have on truck. Even with stock tune though, truck runs and sounds awesome

DirtyD im in a non emmision state so i dont have any cats. but i noticed taking my cats off and running just a pipe to mufflers it felt like there was more TQ there. i view cats Even hi-flow cats as very restricitive. but hi-flows deff work better than the stock ones.

Longtubes do give you alot more power. i noticed right away going from shortys to longtubes. then when i tuned it with longtube HOLY CRAP! its like i droped a 5.4 with these mods in. longtubes help but the computer knowing what to do helps A TON.

lets see some pictures

they make it so you can hear the cylinders fire individually a lil' better

and they broaden the torque curve...

I have been on here long enough to know better than to post without pictures, HAHA!! I have been lazy and I'm sorry. Winter months really get me down. I probably will post through youtube very soon. To give a little history, before I installed the pacesetter longtubes on, I already had 2.5" true duals going to the magnaflow DI/DO w/ x pipe built in on the truck... Getting rid of the 'y' pipe itself adds power/torque. The sound was pretty good. Now with longtubes on, exhaust tone is deeper and has so much more tone. Since I'm running stock tune, I know I gained some horsepower, but I really feel the difference in torque. Torque band is so equal now, I don't feel any flat spots in the RPM range. I'm getting better gas mileage too, of course I only have 2wd but throttle response is very responsive. I barely hit gas past quarter throttle now. Someone asked if this required alot of cash, I got the headers for $292, magnaflow hi flow $62 a piece, the muffler when I bought it was $135, 2 tail-pipes were around $60. Now I did break my bank a bit and installed new o2 sensors while I was putting the headers on.

Who makes long tubes with 1 5/8 primaries and a 2.5 collector for a decent price?

You probably have, but those videos are when I had just made truck true dual but was running very bad thrush mufflers... I'm looking for my data cable so I can upload a sound clip or video
