I've had fitment and drone issues since installing! unfortunately I'm commited to it now!
In the beginning i needed to add washers so mine would fit flush in the tray. I also had to relocate the small black box on the inner fender. I also spent $30 on dyna mat and thought if i lined the inside of the onlet box that would eliminate the drone.. WRONG.. Unfortunately after all this I'm stuck with a $450 P.O.S.!!
And its not like I can change it out to the stock intake because i have custom tunes for my gryphon! so I i just live with it for now? It sucks but I dont see spending anymore money on this!

Sadly, that's been MGD's same old response about Volant going on 3 years now. I honestly think he copies and pastes it from older posts because it is pretty much the exact same garbage verbatim. He has yet to provide any proof to back up his claims about this particular CAI. I'm like you, the fastest I ever drive my truck is when I'm late for work. Even then, I'm not redlining the SOB to see if it lays down at the 4000 mark. Now, I'm sure MGD does know his stuff and if he is who I think he is (Troyer?), he definitely does. But it's hard to believe he isn't biased against products he doesnt endorse without proof that those products "lay down".
Be happy with what you have because I sure as hell am happy with mine. Look somewhere else to get your tunes done from an unbiased source.

Hey guys... to the people that actually wrote something helpful or not negative, thanks. I hope you can understand my frustration. All I ask is a simple question for help or ideas and the first reply cuts up the Volant and at the end he tells me to do some homework first, it's common sense?? Thanks for letting me vent. Guess I will try to fit it again when the weather is better and I will post up how I did it so if others have the same issues. Thanks...
Also for those that are wondering about Volant customer service, on Monday I wrote an email to Volant asking them where to get a new temp sensor gasket. (I bought the kit used, was only on a truck for 100miles, but he couldn't find the gasket) They responded today saying: "Send us your address and we'll get a gasket in the mail to you" I never even had a chance to explain what happened and they are sending me one for free. I know it probably is cheap anyways but it is the principle of it.
