going threw all that and just using the stock cams Brew is prob right prob 20-35HP.

do the E-fan prob 10-15 HP and its easy to do. and it makes working on any belts and stuff alot easyer.

sounds good thoe.

Yours seems alot quicker, but my speedo is also way off! Prolly when it says im doing 67-70 im really doing about 80 bc tires. I'll get a vid on my phone here in a sec before work. lol
Nice videos btw!
You might like it better with a short muffler, like a 14". Those tires make a big difference as far as quickness, - specially mid range. Iduno, I think all these trucks could use about 100 more ponies. I have a chance to get a roots blower set up new from someone on this site and under a grand next month, but hell, I don't have the heads or intake yet and a bunch of miles on this engine. I'd love to do it tho lol. Sucks , I've had my chances at collecting the other parts in the past, but fricken passed on them. Now a great deal on the blower set up comes along. I have a feeling I'd regret screwing with this engine at this point, -almost 300,000 miles and it hasn't been apart yet lol.

First start up on mine was ALOT rougher!

Since you brought up the lightning swap, which would be cool, no doubt. Im just not too big on forced induction to tell you the truth. I would like to put a diesel in it but im afraid that would be a little more than i could handle. Then your also looking at puttin in a front axle and so on....dont kno if ya'll are gonna hate me for this! lol But i can get a really good deal on a complete 5seven hemi motor. Thats that 100+ hp these trucks need! like 345hp or somethin. It would be some custom work but not too much worse than doing a lightning swap. Plus it NA. That, with sum 4.88 yukon's! A Hemi in my ford, I think that would be bada$$!

Yeah, i thought about that. This isn't going to be anytime soon tho if i did decide to do something like this. If i was going to do a BB, i'd def put a 440 in it.

im all about some crazy swaps but at least stay ford with ford. id much rather have a ford BB in my 97 F-150 then a chevy or dodge. but still its awesome regaurdless of what BB is in there just like seeing it kept ford with ford.

Aww man....as long as it ain't no GM pos BB, i think a mopar bb in a ford would be bada$$. The 440's make the most power of the old big blocks and there also the strongest from the factory. Chrysler was making revoltionary strides back in the day before gas bs screwed them over in the 70's and all they had was big motors in all their cars. Out of the three companies bb motors, the mopar has always made the most power.

In all actuality, i'll prolly never beable to start on a project like this anytime in the next half a decade, so right know im ust dreaming anyway lol. Did think about a 390 tho lol
