flowmaster 40 series installed

i dropped my kids off with mom and was heading home. i stopped at my favorite exhaust shop in town and i ended up getting a flowmaster 40 series catback kit put together for $225 inclusive of a nice chrome tip. the guy made it a 3" kit all the way back and it sounds so nice. he cranked it up and took it off the rack and i didnt realize that was my truck lol! it has a bit of drone at low speeds in the cab. i can handle it no problems so i just worry about my kids. they will adapt to it! the 40 series gives this thing a nice deep tone that sounds like a truck. i love it!

I was at my local exhaust shop getting some down pipes fabbed up for my project car and started talking after market exhaust with them. They were putting on some clinic for all the minute muffler shops in the area and told me if I wanted to go sit in while I waited. Well I spent almost the entire afternoon there while they put pretty much every muffler and cat to the test on the flow bench right before my eyes. Pretty much every straight through muffler flows about the same. Then they hooked up a stock 3" GM truck catalytic converter next to the original 40 series muffler and the GM cat actually out flowed the 40 series flow master. I saw it with my own eyes....

Next up you should get high flows installed. Really wakes it up. Congrats on the install and welcome to the Flowmaster club, lol. We are an endangered species around here.
