I never did that crap, I just had long hair, see here.. That was then, this is now. I'm far from emo. I body build, and i'm a true country guy. The only thing about me that most people may find odd on a guy is I have earrings, black 12g ones. Anyways this has nothing to do with exhaust so i'll get back on track.

well I just got back from the exhaust shop and the said they can't run 409 pipe because it's hard to bend. Should I settle for aluminized and paint it with high heat paint before and after winter, how long would it last that way? I could also tell he didn't like it when I said I had everything but the pipe.

how long do you think that paint would last? the kind I got for my mufflers was 2000 deg rating

I'm a little confused at that myself. I am not sure if certain pipe benders can only do certain grades of steel. That might be why. I can tell you this tho, the shop I use will do SS, but it would have been an 800-900 dollar job That paint should be ok. Jerame said that BBQ grille paint works great too.

As for the aluminized, you should be fine, if the salt is layed as much as it is up here in Tioga County you can get 3 - 5 years out of it if you shoot it clean at the car wash one weekly in winter. If you wanna travel come up here I know a guy who will do it all
Maybe its time for a recall out of retirement for one more job?

thats what I was thinking I know another place that will to stainless but he trys to talk you out of true duals, so thats not much better. The reason I went to this shop is because the have done true duals on F-150's before. But when he said he didn't think my x-pipe woould work and that he usally uses h-pipes I have doubts. a friend of mine had a si/do muffler installed with hi-flow cats there, it took them 3 days and he wanted the tips out at the corner of the bumpers and they were striaght out the back.
