another intake question

Hello!
Wellsir, since you have be unwilling or unable to provide a pix of yer engine bay, and I haven't got a 2006 F250 gasser truck handy in my lab I can peer into at the moment, ol' MGD had to go and get one from the online manual site, at great inconvenience I might add
Technically - it looks feasible - but I'll bet some fabbing will almost certainly need to be done... I think the bay is a tad wider just fer starters. The ETC TB should be the same (you will be removing the stock airbox for a full CAI anyway). Possibly a small PVC/rubber/DWV extension will be needed at the left fender - you'll need a new hole there as well...
Good luck sir.

Hello!
No worries - I was just funnin' with ya sir ! No one around here takes me seriuosly - nor should they
Will it fit? As I said - technically yes - it is a 5.4. It's the engine bay dimensions that will be the determinator, plus any unforseen stuff in the way not apparent in the diagram, as well as any required attachment hard-point location differences.
Will it fit without some extra work? Unlikley.
Will it be worth it? Also unlikely. The stocker flows just fine for the mods you have. A custom programmer (remember - Road Trip to VMP when ya get back, lol) will help far more than any intake mod.
Good luck sir - and stay safe!
Cheers

Hello!
VMP ===> in this thread ... https://www.f150online.com/forums/f-...ext-month.html
As for the intake requirement - nah ... yer exhaust mods don't require intake mods - there is so little to be gained - remember you are going to have to 'cobble' this together some - that the couple/few HP is simply not going to be noticed in such a heavy beast - except for some noise. It's still largely a stock truck. No boost, no internals.
I'd pass for now - concentrate on the other stuff. Then worry about it, if at all.
Y'know what else? Before buying anything - either talk to Justin in person (my preference since you are so close - you get to meet him and see his shop) , email or call him and ask him not only about yer intake issues, but also all the other mods you are planning. He does this for a living, aight? Sure will not hurt and may save you some grief, money, time.

i already got a K&N filter in my box.
so many people on the form have differnt opinions. some say if you are goin to do headers you HAVE to do exhaust. some say you dont. i think from lookin at my intake back when i put that 50 dollar amazing little tornado in it, that it is a 3 inch intake.
so ill stick with that, and save my money. its already been tuned, but ill get those custom tunes and call it a day

Well it does make sense to change to a 3" system or at least true duals with headers for sound and performance benefits. When it comes to the intake, nothing else really can beat the stock box and tube if its a full size, it directs true cold air. I say your running fine as is intake wise, move onto the exhaust
