Hi Flow cat question

I have a Flowmaster Super 44 series. I want to go louder.

I have thought about putting Hiflow Cats on.

To anyone out there that has these, Can you tell a differance?

Do the cats cause the motor to throw codes?
The guys at the local exhaust shop told me not to mess with my cats because it will throw codes...

Can Someone shed some light on this for me?

Thank you!

Going from stock cats to high flows on my '05 was night and day in volume.

Ford cats are very restrictive compared to GM and Dodge.

-Yeah it should really make a difference in your sound. I been really thinkin about adding some high flows to mine to help give it some more volume.. still thinking about doing it. Plus hey you can always make some money back selling your stock cats.. try it, then if not loud enough go for some headers

I have high flow cats with a super 44 sounds very loud and nice to me!

With a custom tune they can delete the code for good. I owne a SCT X3 with custom tune for the code. Magnaflow cats part # 94106.

I had a super 44 and it was too quiet for me. I switched to High Flows and it considerably woke up the sound and volume. But I eventually wanted more and switched to a bullet.
